Greasy bedtime

Caught this on the Temple U campus, tonight, when I went to meet Mike after going to an "art talk" at UPenn. Guess this is where the grease trucks sleep at night. The talk was cool. It was at the Institute for Contemporary Art, and the discussion was between artist Beverly Semmes and scholar Glenn Adamson, who wrote my current reading pleasure, "Thinking Through Craft." Adamson seeks to raise crafting to the level of other forms of art, and he believes that it is more than just a subversive way to avoid consumerism. I was riveted by him. He's freakin' brilliant. It made me wish I'd listened to Paul Staiti and gotten my PhD in American Studies.
