These kites are all competing in the Rokkaku battle. Imagine scenes from The Kite Runner, though without the string made of glass (that's a huge no-no around here). I had to compete, as it's part of the "hazing" that goes on in my dept, though I really wasn't feeling the Rokkaku spirit. Needless to say, my team lost...all really another day in the life of my crazy job!!!

sounds so fun.
i love kite flying! when i was little, we had 'kite sunday' with my cousins. they lived right on the water where there's usually a stiff wind... it was great. aww, let's go fly a kite!
