"I'm doing a mostly stockinette piece that I didn't edge before I started and now its curling (like it does) and I was wondering if you knew of a way to add stitches to the bottom of it rather than completely unravelling it to start the right way......."
Any advice for my friend who asked me this question tonight??

Maybe she could wait until she finishes the piece, and then pick up stitches all around the edge (on a circular needle) and knit a garter border?
couldn't she crochet a border?
what's she making? (could it be backed?)
